Date: March 2012 – Present
Scope: VOT (Virtual Office Temps) is a freelance marketplace for job seekers and employers. Hiring managers post opportunities, freelancers advertise their services. Having been online since 1998, the VOT website was out of date. Services such as Elance, Odesk and Guru were capturing much of their marketshare. VOT needed to revamp and revitalize the “look and feel” of their image, niche their service offerings and introduce user engagement functionality.
My Solutions: Created a custom WordPress website with bold Call To Action marketing. Provided keyword research, SEO copywriting and branding design to improve their image and allow VOT to better compete in their marketplace. Wrote content for web pages, social media, digital newsletter and company marketing materials (banner ads, email auto responders, etc).
Researched, wrote and developed extensive online courses/training programs, including courses in business management, customer service and administrative managment. Wrote and developed cooresponding tests and all associated communication and marketing materials. Trained staff on the use of WordPress and Hootsuite.
Results: Efforts directly lead to substantial increases in search engine rankings. VOT appears in the top spots on Google for all targeted keywords including “virtual assistants,” “virtual assistant jobs,” and “virtual administration,” just to name a few. VOT is ranked in the top 50,000 websites in the United States, and the top 200,000 in the world. With nearly 1 billion websites online, this is a major success for all involved.
